Nestled back in the foothills of southwestern Virginia sits a little log cabin in the woods, home of the Clayton family and the dogs of Bluemark Kennels.  My wife Kim is a Social Worker and I'm a United Methodist pastor serving 2 small churches here.  Together we share a great love for the natural beauty of God's glorious creation and a passion for the American Pit Bull Terrier, the greatest canine breed on earth.

 This breed is much-maligned these days (and undeservedly so), largely due to the cruel and irresponsible behavior of a few undeserving owners.  In my 30 years with these dogs, I have never had a problem with aggression.  We breed the bully-style dogs with a focus on structure (nice headpieces, straight fronts, tight feet, ripped musculature, and thick bone), smooth temperament, and loving personality.  Our breedings are planned and guided by my vision of what I hope to develop for my yard.  Our dogs are UKC and/or AKC registered.  Our foundation bloodlines are mainly Razors Edge, Greyline, Knollwood, and Gaff.

 If you see something that interests you or just wish to talk doggies, we are more than happy to provide any help that we can.  This breed needs caring, loving, and knowledgeable owners if it is to survive the current wave of media hysteria and the negative image that leads to Breed Specific Legislation (BSL).  These dogs are far too magnificent to fade into oblivion.
